Welcome to Round 1 of the BWA Pro Windsurfing Series, set against the stunning backdrop of Hayle, Cornwall. Operating from this location gives this event the option to run from a number of world class wave sailing venues within minutes of the seaside town of Hayle. These will include but not be restricted to Gwithian, The Bluff, Godrevy & Marazion.

Dates : 17th-20th (inc) Feb 2025.
Location: Primary venue will be Stithians Lake but if conditions allow we will try to get to a coastal location if possible/appropriate.

This is not racing! it is manoeuvre oriented sailing and & basic wave sailing training…
8-17 age range.
The minimum entry level requirement for this training event is competent beach starting ability level with waterstarting ability being desirable. -
For many years the BWA have run a format of ‘Pro fleet only’ on Fridays and all fleets on the weekend days. This is not the case for this event. All fleets will be required to be available on Friday, Saturday & Sunday of whichever weekend we run on.

A roll-over event accounts for the unpredictable nature of wind conditions. If windsurfing conditions are unsuitable during the initial scheduled weekend, the event automatically rolls over to the backup dates. This ensures competitors and spectators enjoy the best possible windsurfing conditions for high-quality performances and safety.
