BWA Sustainability policy

To the best of our ability, the BWA are committed to having a positive social, economic and environmental impact in our activities around the UK. 

This may take the form of:

• Enhancing tourism at otherwise quiet points in the tourist calendar, at the locations we visit. 

• Offering incentives to get folk participating at events in a variety of forms - competing, working, providing, volunteering, participating. 

• Looking at our carbon footprint when attending or travelling to events, our use of single use items, plastic or otherwise and our overall impact on the natural environment that our sport thrives within.  

BWA strives to lead and influence societal behaviours with a positive approach to what sports and sporting competitions can do for communities across a broad cross section of sustainable practices. 

We welcome fresh thinking at all times on what we can do as a sport governing body to lead sustainable practice.
